Clark Consulting Announces Consolidation of Bloomington Service Center Into Dallas Operations

February 26, 2008 - As part of an ongoing effort to offer more favorable and competitive products and services to clients, Clark Consulting Inc. (“Clark Consulting”) today announced that it will consolidate its Bloomington-based insurance service center into its national service center in Dallas, Texas by the end of 2008. Clark Consulting’s primary focus is executive benefits and the design, implementation and administration of corporate-owned/bank-owned life insurance programs (COLI/BOLI). Clark Consulting is an AEGON company (“AEGON”).

“This decision will benefit our clients in the form of improved products, service and expertise,” said Kurt Laning, President of Clark Consulting. “Our company is continually evaluating its business model and exploring ways to improve operating efficiencies and synergies across markets. By consolidating these operations, we will enhance economies of scale, facilitate improved speed to market for new products, increase our technical expertise and simplify our operating structure. Clark Consulting remains committed to excellent client service to all the markets we serve.”

Approximately 100 positions will be affected by the consolidation. Clark Consulting will continue to maintain an office in Bloomington. “We recognize the impact this consolidation will have on our Bloomington employees and their families,” Laning explained. “Fortunately, the Minneapolis-St. Paul economy is very diverse, and there are a number of high-profile employers in the area that can provide quality employment opportunities for those employees who wish to remain in the area.” Affected Clark Consulting employees will be given the opportunity to apply for positions in Dallas as well as other AEGON locations across the country.
